Customer for life, this food is simply fantastic and I cannot get enough, I am very satisfied with almost every meal, except one time the Sweet&Sour pork was dry so now I walk across the street and buy a length of cured pork from thriftway and the rest of my dinner from The Green Ginger, hope they get a handle on that one thing... other then that usually the food is more then anyone could ask for!

They have really good "Chow mein" tried the "Chow Fun" last time, it's also good. I get take home.

Pretty good food. General Tso chicken is really good & they do the chow mein and fried rice perfectly. I like the ambience inside too it’s a spacious restaurant

Solid American Chinese restaurant with classic Americanized Chinese dishes cooked well. It is owned by a lovely local family. Our family's go to comfort food spot.

Average American Chinese food. Wonton soup is great here, although I always ask for extra bokchoy. They are open later and more days of the week than most dining options on Vashon.

My daughters love the orange chicken and pot stickers. Nice place and good food.

Best Chinese place in the island!!

This place was pretty great. We showed up with a large group late in the evening. They seated is very quickly and helped us order our food "family style" so we could all share and sample different dishes more easily. The food came out of the kitchen quickly and it was delicious. There were lots of leftovers that I am looking forward to eating tomorrow.

Solid American style Chinese, nice and clean atmosphere, very capable and warm servers. The walnut shrimp is delicious!

The rice and the chicken was cooked to my liking and I thought it was pretty awesome Chinese food.

Lunch special: Mongolian Chicken, Brown Rice, Won Ton soup w/ side of fresh, steamed broccoli! Delicious!!

The food was pretty decent and the staff was nice.

Overall I would say 4.5* because of aging interior, but this is a foodie's place. Their Chicken Curry (best yet we tried in Chinese style curries), Fried Rice, soups, service, and the individual combo specials make it 5.0 ***** for every our visit here. General Tso's Chicken and other dishes tend to be a touch too sweet for my palate, but I think most people love them. Mongolian Chicken and Moo Shu Chicken are very good. Moo Shu pancakes are very excellent. Quality of all dishes has not diminished over the last 8 years we have been eating there. Service is really nice. Overall it is primo Chinese style food. We drive there 2 hours each way and even take a ferry to get there, and we have never regreted it. It is well worth it if you value good food.

We came here for day trip from Seattle and we loved the food here. Ambience was serene and staffs were friendly. Pricing is decent.

I love to eat out or get take out here, it's perfect American Chinese food. The service is always nice to talk with while waiting for my order to come when I get take out and they are also happy to help with anything when you eat in. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out!

I was disappointed in the sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken, no veggies at all in it. The Mongolian beef was way hotter than the 1 star that was ordered. The egg rolls were delicious, however.

We loved the place. The food was fresh and delicious. The portions were great and the prices were very reasonable. I would make the trip to the island just for this place. I highly recommend trying if you are ever on Vashon Island.

Green Ginger fell really short of the mark today. The Lunch Specials, which others have raved about, were relatively inexpensive, but that was their only redeeming quality. The fried rice tasted funny (a bit like paper) and the Sweet and Sour Soup, was all sour and no sweet. Our entrees weren't much better - the Kung Pao Shrimp was light on shrimp and generic. The Mongolian Beef was way too sweet, with the sauce overpowering any taste of the beef - perhaps intentionally. We left with much of our food untouched. Service was mediocre - somewhat slow 🐢 and no recommendations. We won't be back.
